When women compete for a man, they try to impose a negative frame on the other woman. For example, let’s suppose that a woman is competing with the wife for a man. The other woman calls the wife “frigid bitch” and the wife calls the other woman “slut”. This is very normal competition among women. It happens in high school, college, the workplace, church, etc.

Women compete and demean their competition in order to make themselves seem more valuable by comparison.  Each may have qualities that make them admirable as people, but each will attempt to highlight negative aspects of the other.  The other woman assumes that the man is away from his wife because his wife is denying him sex and likely being bitchy.  Hence, she highlights the wife’s alleged frigidity.

The wife demeans the other woman’s sexual availability, implying that the other woman won’t be loyal and may have STDs.  The other woman might be having sex with any number of other men.

If a wife is having problems with a man and another woman knows about it and is sympathetic to the man, she will ask the man why he stays with his wife.  The other woman will see him as ripe for theft.  If he’s attractive to her, the woman may try to seduce him.  She does this in order to highlight what she sees as her most attractive feature compared to the frigid wife–a willing vagina.  Of course, the novelty and availability are very attractive to a man.  A wife who in fact is frigid will have to make changes and will likely want to since she will see her man as of higher sexual value than she did previously.  The man has shown that he has options.  Of course, the wife will still see him as a cheater and her trust of him will be impaired.  If the wife was withholding sex, then she will likely make allowances for his cheating because she started cheating by withholding sex.  Paradoxically, a man who cheats is seen as more sexually valuable than one who doesn’t.
