Prep time: 24 hours


6 oz. quality bourbon (I like Woodford Reserve or Maker’s Mark)

10-15 fresh young spearmint leaves from your garden

1 heaping tsp honey

Crush the spearmint leaves and immediately add to bourbon.  Marinade the leaves in the bourbon for 24 hours, then filter them out (cheesecloth works well).  Add honey to the bourbon marinade and stir slowly and lovingly.

Pour 2 oz. in a cup (traditionally silver) over shaved (or crushed) ice.

Serves 3 (or 1 if you’re greedy, lol)
